A long time ago now, I went through a similarly dark time when my marriage ended in divorce. I never knew a grief deeper or more devastating, and for more than ten years I carried all the guilt and grief and regret close to my heart that nothing before had ever injured me more. It took a very long time for the darkness to lift, but eventually it did. It is encouraging to me to hear you share similar experiences in your life as well as it reminds me that all of us have something we’ve endured and survived.
